The warranty only extends to the first consumer purchaser of the solid surface countertop and not to subsequent owners, transferees or users other than the first purchasers.

The warranty shall apply to solid surface countertops installed and used for only personal, family, or household purposes and which are installed by Applaus Creative Solid Surface and maintained in accordance with FLOWSTONE recommended maintenance procedures. This warranty does not extend to defects or damage caused in whole or part by any unauthorized or unreasonable use or mishandling.

APPLAUS CREATIVE SOLID SURFACE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED, IN WHOLE OR PART BY ANY DEFFECT IN THE SOLID SURFACE COUNTERTOP NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL APPLY AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD DESCRIBED ABOVE.

In the event of a defect of the material or the workmanship with respect to the solid surface countertop during the warranty period Applaus Creative Solid Surface shall repair or replace defective material as FLOWSTONE in its sole and absolute discretion determines. However, Applaus Creative Solid Surface shall not be liable for the expense of plumbing work due to the removal and the installation of the solid surface countertop.

In the years that I have been involved in the solid surface industry it has been my experience that the most difficult task to accomplish is that of matching the customers expectation level with the actual finished product. The following information is provided to help eliminate confusion.

1. A 60% deposit secures your place in the production schedule and allows materials to be ordered.

2. As your name moves to the top of the board, we will come out and make a stick pattern (template) of the cabinets. Schedule only when all cabinets are screwed to the floor and walls.

3. If the cabinets are moved after the pattern is taken, the homeowner or contractor must notify APPLAUS of the change before the top is manufactured or the total cost of the tops well be charged to homeowner/contractor.

4. When we take the pattern (template) we recommend that the homeowner or contractor be present for any changes in shapes, sizes, colors, sinks, etc. Changes in the lengths or additional product that is not in the original bid will cause your quoted price to increase or decrease. The changes will then show on the final invoice.

5. When we come to install the countertop, all faucets and drop-in ranges and sinks must be on sight for our installers to cut the wholes, or a $100.00 return trip charge will be required.

6. You (or a representative you have appointed to us, in writing, prior to completion) will need to be present during the end of the installation to inspect the work and sign a notice of completion. Our installers will give you a care and cleaning instruction sheet and an invoice. Final payment will be made to the installers at this time.

7. A copy of the warranty is available upon request.

THINGS A CLIENT MAY ENCOUNTER WITH THEIR NEW SOLID SURFACE TOP

A. Color variations: The sample you have chosen may be slightly different in color from the mixer color that your top will be poured from. This variation is unavoidable.

B. After countertop is installed, house/ cabinets may settle, causing the caulking to separate. The client can easily fix the problem.

C. Overhangs on islands, peninsulas and tops may vary.

D. Radiuses may vary.

E. Tip out trays may become inoperable due to size or placement of sink.

F. Client must make sure cabinets are level when installers get there. Otherwise, the countertop will be out of level. We do not level cabinets.

Please relay this information to cabinet installer/carpenter.

G. Do not cook on your new countertop. For example, if using a waffle iron, crock-pot, or frying pan, we suggest a cutting board be placed beneath them!

H. THE BID SHEET MUST BE SIGNED, A DEPOSIT OR PAYMENT SCHEDULE MUST BE ARRANGED. ONLY THEN, CAN YOUR ORDER BE PROCESSED.
